Introduction Antipsychotic drugs are widely prescribed for schizophrenia and other mental disorders. They critical in the pharmacological management of severe psychotic disorder. The adverse effects antipsychotics common, with a potential negative impact on adherence engagement. Despite this, scientific study prevalence antipsychotic is neglected area. Objectives We aim to identify nine clinically important categories effects, namely: extrapyramidal symptoms; sedation; weight gain; type II diabetes; hyperprolactinaemia; metabolic syndrome, dyslipidaemia; sexual dysfunction; cardiovascular Methods This prospective, observational, cross-sectional study, carried out Ar-razi hospital Salé evaluating side patients hospitalized treated within 3 months. Results In total, polypharmacy was associated increased frequency longer duration treatment greater severity; clozapine more strongly disturbance than three studies olanzapine most gain studies; hyperprolactinemia common women men, but men noted dysfunction women; Conclusions diverse frequently experienced, not often systematically assessed.
